Is Chat Recap AI really free?+

Yes. The Academic report template is free forever, no signup or credit card. Pro templates (Retro, MBTI) require a Pro plan.

Do you store my messages?+

No. The transcript is processed in-memory and discarded once the report is generated. Nothing is persisted on our servers.

Which apps are supported?+

WhatsApp (.txt and .zip exports), Telegram (.json and .txt), and Instagram DMs (.json).

Can I share my report?+

Every report has a shareable URL you can send, or export as a PDF (Pro).

How accurate is the sentiment analysis?+

We use a combination of lexicon-based and transformer-based models. Accuracy is strongest for English and declines for mixed-language chats.

Can I analyze group chats?+

Yes. Group chats up to 20 participants are supported; beyond that, per-user breakdowns collapse into aggregate metrics.
